Barcelona: a place for tapas, parties and Gaudi’s art nouveau

An excellent nightlife (PARTY UNTIL 6 AM) , tasty Spanish food (HELLO, PAELLA AND TAPAS!) and the warm, sunny climate (BEACH BUMS!) make Barcelona THE place to be. I was fortunate enough to visit Barcelona more than once this year. The first time was in June with one of my best friends, Chelsea and my mom. The second trip was in August before flying over to Italy to teach. Conveniently, Chelsea was renting an apartment in La Ramblas and my university friends also decided to meet up in Barcelona during that time. Timing was perfect and so was the city of Barcelona.

Furthermore, Barcelona is one photogenic city. Gaudi’s architecture and his influence is seen throughout the metropolitan area. Even for people who are not interested in architecture, Gaudi’s work will certainly give them a lasting impression! His designs look organic and colourful; drawing in inspiration from nature.
